Day 30 – “Hey Hey” by The Graves

August 8, 2011 1 comment

And if you sing along with us, better give it all you’ve got!

And with this video, we come to the end of our 30 day journey. I hope you had as much fun watching these videos as we did making them. The amount of support and talent that has come out of this project is overwhelming.

At first we had some difficulty deciding what to do for this band that’s based way out West. Eventually I came up with this. This song is quite an anthem and I figured it would be a nice way to bring all of our artists together. Please enjoy “Hey Hey” by The Graves.

Once again, I’d like to thank all the artists and filmmakers who participated in this project.

Oh what a night!

What a fantastic night Tuesday! So many thanks to all of you who made it out to show your support. We seriously could not do this without each and every one of you. From day one, the goal has been to find artists who would never otherwise share a stage or a label or a fanbase and bring them all together in one space. To give our filmmakers and musicians the freedom to take risks and visualize music as they feel it. To let people discover music and their own personal connections to these songs.

Katra Lounge was PULSING with talent Tuesday night! To see some artists finally meet their editors and animators for the first time, to hear that some artists have videos lined up with their Project 30 in 30 directors in the future, to have this all come together under one roof is exactly why we began the project in the first place. I could not be more pleased and excited for what’s to come!

Stay tuned for the upcoming web premiere of videos for Miles Megaciph, Auzriel and The Graves.

In the mean time, enjoy the photos from this amazing night:

Video #15 – “Love Story of a Blade of Grass and a Pine Tree” by Conrad Korsch

Tonight’s video is “Love Story of a Blade of Grass and a Pine Tree,” another song by the multi-talented Conrad Korsch. December’s looking to be a busy month for this bassist, be sure to catch Conrad this month playing with bands like Birdland Big Band and Manhattan Transfer and at Everett Bradley’s Holidelic at Joe’s Pub later this month. It’s a wonder how this guy can find time to put out an album (“Live Love Leave”) AND manage the label, Scrumptious Music.

Well, check out this video featuring the stunning illustration and animation work of one of my dearest friends, William J Hopper. Enjoy!

Video #12 – “Firefly” by Conrad Korsch

Here’s a video from a world away – brought to you by Katie Kelley over in Melbourne, Australia. (We weren’t lying when we said we have people all over working on this project). For a smooth, lyrical and melancholy jazz/acoustic piece, beautiful location shots, and a dreamy visual aesthetic, check out this video for “Firefly” by singer/songwriter/bassist/music producer/etc, etc, etc, Conrad Korsch.
