Day 30 – “Hey Hey” by The Graves

August 8, 2011 1 comment

And if you sing along with us, better give it all you’ve got!

And with this video, we come to the end of our 30 day journey. I hope you had as much fun watching these videos as we did making them. The amount of support and talent that has come out of this project is overwhelming.

At first we had some difficulty deciding what to do for this band that’s based way out West. Eventually I came up with this. This song is quite an anthem and I figured it would be a nice way to bring all of our artists together. Please enjoy “Hey Hey” by The Graves.

Once again, I’d like to thank all the artists and filmmakers who participated in this project.

Oh what a night!

What a fantastic night Tuesday! So many thanks to all of you who made it out to show your support. We seriously could not do this without each and every one of you. From day one, the goal has been to find artists who would never otherwise share a stage or a label or a fanbase and bring them all together in one space. To give our filmmakers and musicians the freedom to take risks and visualize music as they feel it. To let people discover music and their own personal connections to these songs.

Katra Lounge was PULSING with talent Tuesday night! To see some artists finally meet their editors and animators for the first time, to hear that some artists have videos lined up with their Project 30 in 30 directors in the future, to have this all come together under one roof is exactly why we began the project in the first place. I could not be more pleased and excited for what’s to come!

Stay tuned for the upcoming web premiere of videos for Miles Megaciph, Auzriel and The Graves.

In the mean time, enjoy the photos from this amazing night:

Our next music video is for the song Blue Toothbrush by Emily Kinney. It features Emily Kinney and Craig Jorczak, who were a joy to work on this video, and are some very talented individuals. The song comes to us from Emily’s new/soon to be released EP on Scrumptious Music. If you would like to to know more about Emily’s music and her upcoming five song EP entitled “Blue Toothbrush” you can email her at emmykinney@yahoo.com or contact Scrumptious Music. You can see more of Emily this Tuesday November 16 when she guest stars on the CBS show The Good Wife at 10pm ET.

On Location with Auzriel, Genesis Be and Emily Kinney

Apologies for being so behind on the updates, technological disasters can only be an excuse for so long. On the bright side, the shoots are going along as planned.

Check out some hot shots from Auzriel and Genesis Be’s shoots this past weekend and Emily Kinney’s shoot during the week. For Auzriel, we got some great green screen (and other) footage for this very sensual techno remix of one of her original songs (yes, we did say ‘sensual’ and ‘techno’ in the same description). Also featuring the siick dance moves of Jennifer Morell.

For Genesis Be’s video, we headed up to Harlem for this very biographical and personal song. Some amazing views from the park by City College. With a guest appearance by rapper Miles Megaciph too!

Later on this week we caught up with Emily Kinney for a very sweet video directed by Jorge Garza. Pictures below!
