It’s time…
Finally, here is Project 30 in 30 as it was first intended. Tonight begins 30 days of music and 30 days of great videos.
Exactly 9 months after our first video, Don’t Ask Now by Jonny B. Goodman and the Area Men, aired, our baby is born – all limbs and toes intact. We are proud to present The 30 once again! What better way to spend a lazy summer evening than with new music? Check back each night at 9pm to see a new video or save it for the morning – I know you’re youtubing at the office anyway.
The best part? You won’t know which video to expect next. I actually had a lot of fun playing DJ and putting together the setlist for this run. But to start us off, let’s go back to the beginning.

New Year, New Videos!
Happy New Year friends! Here’s the first official video of 2011 featuring early Jonny B Goodman and the Area Men, “Call it a Crime” Shot/Directed by filmmaker and band member Joe Del Balzo in MD outside of DC. Watch this video and you’ll feel like you’re back home with your best high school friends shooting the shit too.
And while three of the four Area Men couldn’t be present for the shoot itself, they had admirable stand-ins: Matt Ford as bassist BJ Cantlupe, Ted Jacobs as pianist Dan Papson, and Wooden Rooster as drummer Greg Harris.
So check out this goofy video for a catchy song that looks like “Jib Jab” made it before they got a hold of Flash.

Spent an afternoon with my friend, Jonny Goodman in his old hood (Sunset Park) taking photos and eating cheesy bread. The song touches on the transformation of the neighborhood so we thought we’d do a little deconstruction/construction collage to stay with the theme. I’ve always been a fan of Brooklyn and it’s always so bizarre to me that you walk a couple blocks in any direction and the whole vibe (demographic, safety, food, buildings, people) can change. So here’s a video from about 30 blocks south of me, “No More, No Less” by Jonny B Goodman and the Area Men:

Call for Actors!
Hey guys! Liked what you saw in the Jonny B Goodman shoot last weekend? Well we’re shooting our 2nd Jonny video tomorrow night. We’ll be rocking out from 7pm on…in a church! If you’d like to participate, hit us up! No acting experience necessary 🙂
Day 3 – Animation x 1000
Despite some health issues and scares on the part of some of our filmmakers, we are still plugging along! A relatively productive day with animator, Robinson Deckert working out the kinks of animation based videos for The Slackers, Shanghai Restoration Project and the boys of Purple Bird Music, Dead Geoff and Chi’ Akai.
In live action world, getting ready for shoots this coming week/weekend with What Katie Said Last Night, more with Jonny B. Goodman and a couple special guests TBD 😉 that have a lot of Attitude. Not to mention JGood’s first video is getting the post treatment right now! More to come!
